Choosing the right motocross gear size starts with a few measurements and a good comparison. The MAXX MX Gear size chart lists measurements in inches for pants and jerseys. Use it as a guide, and reach out if you are unsure how to compare a chart measurement to your own fit.
What you will need
- A soft measuring tape
- A helper, if available
- Your usual riding base layer and protective gear, so you can check how the kit will fit when you ride
Take your measurements
- Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level and comfortably snug.
- Waist: Measure around the spot where your motocross pants normally sit. Keep the tape level without pulling it tight.
- Inseam: Measure from the crotch down the inside of the leg to the length you prefer.
- Jersey length and sleeve: Compare with a jersey that fits well. Note where and how you measure it, so you can compare the same way.
Size charts can list rider body measurements or finished-garment measurements. Check that you are comparing the same kind of measurement. If you are not sure whether a chart value is a body measurement or a measurement taken from the garment, contact us before ordering and we will help you compare.
Check the fit over your riding gear
Try your jersey and pants over the layers and protective equipment you normally wear. The gear should feel comfortable in your riding position and allow you to move without pulling or restricting your range of motion. If you are between sizes, compare the fit you prefer and ask us before selecting a size for a custom set.
